About Hair and Skin Science in the Gold Coast

Hair and Skin Science is a provider of specialist hair and skin clinics based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and the Gold Coast.

We are experts in providing safe, non-surgical hair and skin treatments to men and women.

Those treatments can promote younger-looking healthy skin as well as treat many common ailments such as alopecia, stress-related hair loss, wrinkles and fine lines, thinning hair, acne scarring, dark circles under the eyes and so much more!

Our Gold Coast hair specialist is our newest location and is based in Labrador. It benefits from experienced staff and the treatments and procedures we have perfected over many years at our other locations.

Hair and Skin Science is led by Jenna Chan, the original founder. She opened the first clinic in Ashwood many years ago and has grown the business to what we see here today.

We now have hair specialists in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

The current Hair and Skin Science team includes doctors, skin specialists, nurses and practitioners in a number of innovative treatments.

PRF hair loss treatments are a brand new treatment that’s more than the second generation of PRP. It uses similar principles to PRP, where blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge to separate.

Rather than add anticoagulants like with PRP, platelet rich fibrin is manually separated, along with stem cells and white blood cells, into what’s called a fibrin matrix. Fibrin still contains the growth factors but also more active proteins for a more effective treatment.

The treatment looks and feels just like a PRP hair loss treatment but should have more of an effect.

Hair and Skin Science is one of the first specialists to offer PRF hair loss treatments.

PRF skin treatment uses the same platelet rich fibrin as PRF hair loss treatments but to tackle skin issues instead.

Those growth factors are believed to be much more effective at addressing wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, acne scarring, hyper-pigmentation and other common skin conditions.

Blood is drawn, separated in a centrifuge and the platelet rich fibrin is injected back into the skin to target problem areas. We also apply a red LED light to the treated areas to help minimize recovery time.

It’s safe, non-surgical, requires no pharmaceuticals and minimal recovery time!

PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma, hair loss treatment is a safe, non-surgical treatment for hair loss and other common conditions. It uses platelet rich plasma drawn from your own blood to target problem areas to help stimulate hair growth.

Platelet rich plasma contains growth factors that help promote the growth of new cells. By using it in hair, we can encourage the regrowth of hair follicles to tackle common conditions.

Gold Coast PRP hair loss treatments can help men and women tackle genetic hair loss, alopecia, stress-related hair loss, pattern baldness and hair thinning.

PRP hair loss treatments can be used as a single treatment or part of a wider range of treatments to tackle one or more conditions.

PRP skin treatments use the same platelet rich plasma as in the PRP hair loss treatment, but for your skin.

The growth factors can help promote the production of collagen and elastin, helping address many conditions.

It’s the same safe, non-surgical procedure that injects your own plasma into problem areas of the skin to tackle conditions such as acne scarring, hyper-pigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and other conditions.

Gold Coast PRP skin treatments are safe, fast, non-surgical and require very little recovery time.

PRP (vampire) facials are specialist facial treatments that use platelet rich plasma to target areas of the face.

The same principles apply, we use your own blood (hence the vampire name) and inject the platelet rich plasma into your skin to help promote the growth of new skin cells.

The growth factors within the plasma can help regenerate elastin and collagen to tighten up skin, smooth wrinkles and fine lines and help discoloured or scarred skin.

PRP hand rejuvenation uses platelet rich plasma and its growth factors to smooth the skin on the hands.

Hands can be a dead giveaway. You may have the smoothest skin on your face, but one look at the hands tells the real story.

PRP hand rejuvenation helps with that. It can also tackle scarring and discolouration within the skin on the hands.

Other Innovative Hair and Skin Treatments in The Gold Coast

Hair and Skin Clinic also provides a selection of other effective treatments for common conditions.

They include:

Similar to PRP treatments where we use a microneedle device to help rejuvenate collagen production in the skin.

A CO2 laser is used to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and other skin conditions.

The use of skin relaxants help relax the skin around wrinkles to help even out the texture and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Dermal fillers are a popular procedure used in the lips or cheeks to add volume. Hyaluronic acid injections are used, which are safe and can offer effective results.
