Your lips tend to define your face. If they’re thin, asymmetrical or changing shape as you age, you may want to refine them so that they balance out your other features. Lip fillers are a type of cosmetic treatment that can enhance the shape of your mouth.

About Lip Fillers
While fillers can certainly enhance lip volume, they’re used for more than amplifying your lip size. They may also be used for improving symmetry of your lips, defining cheeks and enhancing the appearance of your jawline.
Lip fillers are made from hyaluronic acid. This is a natural substance that is already found in your skin. Therefore, the body usually readily accepts it. The gel can produce a natural look and feel that may enhance your appearance.
Details About the Lip Filler Procedure
Before being treated, you’ll have a consultation with one of our experienced nurses. We’ll go over your lip goals and explain the realistic outcomes.
If you choose to have the procedure, we will clean your lips with a medical solution. Then, we apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area and reduce discomfort. After the lips are numb, the cream is removed and the procedure begins.
The exact technique that we use depends on the treatment area and your final expectations.
After the treatment, your lips may feel sore or heavy for a few days. You should avoid applying any makeup to your lips for 12 hours after the procedure. Our registered nurse will give you a better idea of what to expect post-procedure based on the type of injections that you received.
Many people experience some tenderness and bruising after getting fillers. Ice packs can make you feel better and may reduce bruising. You can also conceal discolouration using makeup. Avoid manipulating the area or exposing it to sunlight and UV rays for two weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
Many people worry about the pain of the injections. They may be uncomfortable, but we take measures to make the experience as pain-free as possible. We use numbing cream before placing the injections.
Our experienced nurses have extensive experience and understand facial anatomy. We use the correct amount and type of lip filler for a change that’s as subtle or dramatic as you’d like.
You can notice a change immediately following the procedure. However, it may take two to six weeks for everything to settle. If you return for a follow-up appointment, our registered nurse may gently massage your lips at this time to break up any small lumps or hard areas. Persistent lumps can be corrected at this time.
